Danielle Rideout is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Since 2016, she has been working as the Recovery Liaison for the city of Westbrook providing support and resources for those with a substance use disorder. In this position, she spends time at the Cumberland County Jail, meeting with people to prepare for their release. She works in the community to connect people to services such as treatment, health care, education and housing. She started working in the field after starting her own recovery in 2008. She has experience providing counseling services in multiple settings such as medication assisted treatment, group and individual counseling. She is DEEP certified and holds a Maine EMT license. Danielle sits on multiple committees and uses her experience as a woman and mom in recovery to advocate for others. Her passion is simply being present with people as they figure out their own journey. She lives in Yarmouth with her husband who is a lobsterman and firefighter and their 2 children.
