Research Nurse
Ann has spent most of her nursing career caring for moms and babies in hospital and community settings. Pregnancy, childbirth and parenting are major life changes and Ann enjoys providing care, support, and education regarding newborn care and a healthy transition for the mother-baby dyad through each of these phases. As a lactation consultant, she supports the mother's feeding plan and promotes breastfeeding whenever possible. Ann has observed the rise in opioid use disorder among pregnant women and is very excited to collect data for this important community-based study comparing the effects of integrated and referral-based care models. In her free-time, Ann enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and yoga. She is looking forward to being a part of this cohesive research team and having the opportunity to help improve the human condition for this vulnerable population.
